Although it is helpful, you need not know Reflexology to participate in Pawspoint.

The very first hour of class will bring a total change in your animal as he or she relaxes, even in the presence of other animals. One of our classes had 14 dogs, 2 cats, a mini and a maxi-horse. They were all social; there was a peaceful feeling about the entire class. Last year, cats, dogs and a rabbit shared the same room happily, peacefully.

The program is presented as a two-day session. The first day will be training for the humans in the Pawspoint technique. You will have an excellent set of notes so you can follow and learn the reflexes and their use.

On the second day, you will bring your animal. There will be appropriate breaks for exercising and releasing animals so that they remain alert, comfortable and relaxed. Their comfort comes first!

No animal? Let us know so we can locate an animal for you. When you bring your dog, cat, ferret or rabbit to class, bring their blanket so they can own their space, and many treats to thank them for their patience! Certain animals will appreciate having their kennel. Can't leave your animal home for the 1st day? OK to bring him or her, but we probably won't be working on live animals that day. And yes, you will have time for walks and piddle stops!

Can't come to Belcarra? Purchase the Pawspoint Manual to learn step-by-step the theory and practice of Pawspoint. There is a certifcation exam in the manual which you can choose to answer and mail to Yvette. The certification cost is $35.
